we've given him little this month.
Needy furriend in NYC
there are needy furriends in my state, city too,
but we're in CO.
Denver is #5 Cat furriendly city
in US,( Cat Funcy mag said so) .
we just saw that local TV news station raised
$300,000 for local needy animals in just 5-6 hours
in one Sunday afternoon recently.

this pic iteself can tell our city is Cat furriendly

I don't know if NYC does the same,
at least I did not see NY in the top
Cat furriendly city in the Cat Fancy
article.
but I see the info about  many cats
are on deathrow in NYC everyday.
Sometimes I donate needy furriends in
the other city/state too, but
usually I use money to save deathrow cats
in NYC.
We pledged all deathrow cats on Dec 24 and some
on Dec 25  last year after Holiday merchandise
were sold.
pledged 9-10 cats then, and 3-4 were killed, but
was able to save 6-7 of them.
we would like to spend money for donation directly
to help lives instead of giving money to big organization
such as HSUS, PETA etc..
the money we pledge are collected only when Rescue group
pull the cats safely from the cat prison.
(Never asked to send money whether cats are rescued or not).

Anyway, you buy cool Yogi merchandise, and it
always automatically helps needy animals too!!

Official Yogi Shop Open @ Etsy.com

Good Grumpy April!!
Today I'd like to announce that Official Yogi Shop has Opened.
It's @ Etsy.com

I wanted to open online shop with Etsy.com, but the site is for
Handmade items to sell, I never thought Yogi merchandise was
OK, or considered "Handmade",
but when I looked at the site carefully, I noticed that items like
Computer Graphic (photoshopped) photo enlarged as a poster,
or canvas print, T-shirt with Image which looked like iron-on,
CD by non-professional musicians etc.. were sold on the site.

Most Yogi merchandise are made in similar process of CD
by non-professional singers, or CG (photoshop) art print,
so I thought maybe OK to sell Yogi merchandise there,
and decided to open the shop @ Etsy.

Here is the link to the store>>>Official Yogi shop

At this time only 3 items in the shop,
but more items will be added soon.

Now you can pay with crejit card, Pay Pal, even check/M.O
and anyone from any countries can shop/order also.
this is very ideal. It was easy to set up too.

Please visit the shop,

Grandmas need to be educated? Now?

Good Grumpy Weekend!!
Earlier this week, there was discussion on my fan page about
the article I found on Martha Stewart Magazine "LIVING"
that Martha was showing Easter basket decoration there.
One of them looked strenji with black bunny in the basket,
its fur looked real, I wondered where I can buy such well-made
stuffed bunny, and looked for information (you know, usually
magazines tell where the merchandise shown in their mag to
purchase), and it said that the bunny in the page was Taxidermy,
and there was web shop address for it.
Also the article said "Martha collects Taxidermy".
(means collecting dead animals?)

From Martha Stewart "LIVING" April 2013 issue

I remember Taxidermy were in people's house, stores as display in the 70's,
but I don't see it, and don't hear anyone talk about it now,
not at all after the 70's, I think,
so I didn't know how to react when I saw the article,
I didn't even know if I could assume it was wrong,
 so I posted the article
(same as above) on my fan page, and asked my fans what they think.

To me, it is like buying fur products that as long as humans want it,
some animals are killed for their fur.
If someone saw the article in the Martha magazine, and liked it,
and wants one for herself, she might visit the web shop for taxidermy and may purchase one.
if it happens, the store may kill more rabbit for $$$.

All my fans who joined the discussion on my page said this is wrong as I thought.
glad to have asked them for their opinions.
(if you want to tell your opinion, the thread for the article on my fan page is here:
Link below)
Taxidermy Bunny

Martha is old, 60 or older now?
I think some older people her age (and older) still believe
stuff like fur coat, taxidermy are valuable.

Joanna Krupa also tweeted recently (just few days before this)
that she was shocked that many elderly ladies were wearing fur coat
at the Wedding party she went .
(she said she decided not to complain them not to ruin the Wedding).

I remember that several episodes of  I love Lucy show had fur joke,
dead animals heads were displayed in Richard Widmark house
(he says his hobby is hunting) in one of Hollywood episodes of I Love Lucy.
other TV shows in the 50's. 60's were similar too.
I have seen Cat lady on one of Bewitched episode
( I see at least some people cared about homeless cats then),
but don't remember if anyone talked about fur was wrong back then.
Probably many women simply wanted it for fashion items as celebs showed off theirs
back then without thinking of how animals were treated, or hurt.

Joanna said that those grandmas who were wearing fur at The Wedding needed
to be educated, I think so too, and people like Martha too, collecting dead animals
are no longer gorgeous hobby, and she should not suggests her readers such a thing
as a home decor item.

Are you the cat who likes to eat Fruits?

Good Grumpy Evvning!! today, I'd like  to show you the video of my Japanese furriend
Mr. Skeroku, the Tuxedo cat. (Okinawa, Japan)

He eats strawberries, loves to eat them. Well.. I myself don't eat fruits. but as you might have heard of,
some cats enjoy fruits for their treats.

Isn't he lovely? He was a homeless kitten, saw his current owner on the street, followed her, showed her what he could do(tricks, smiles etc) then successfully melted her heart and became her official cat in her house. Not only eating strawberries, he does something like a person does. this is the photo that he looking outside from the window as his human dad is doing the the same. it was not his human who copied Mr. Skeroku, but Mr. Skeroku did the same thing when he saw his owner was looking outside from the window. isn't that cool? this is a great photo. I hope you enjoyed his video and photo here today. See you , XLXL

Got Real Fur? - very scary!!!!

Good Grumpy Morning!! my typist was sick yesterday, so  we skipped updating this blog yesterday. sorry about dat.
By the way, we've heard scary story from Japanese furriend, I want to talk about it here today.
She said that recently one of her furriends wanted to give her a Wallet covered with real Mink Fur as
a gift.
Wow, that must be very expensive, and the purrson wanted to give my furriend such an expensive gift for free?
 Why?
Because that purrson has some kind of pshychic power(including can see, feel ghost), said to my furriend that she could feel that the Mink was trying to tell her something. it scared her and made very uncomfortable to keep the wallet herself. (originally the purrson received the Mink wallet as a gift from someone else, not purrchased it by herself).
Isn't that scary?

My furriend is An anti fur-purrson, so she refused to accept the wallet of course, but
the problem is that her furriend who owns the wallet and can feel the curse of Milk.
she doesn't know how to get rid of it.
Our suggestion to her is taking the wallet to the Priest or Monk in the temple, so they can talk to
the Mink and let the Mink sleep quietly (when dead person/animal had something regret while they were
alive, they tend to be ghost or try to tell someone something after they died. their soul still alive, exist, so
someone like priest can listen to the ghost, and let her/him sleep quietly with no regrets).

People who don't care about buying/wearing fur products, are probably not sensitive that they can not
see/feel the voice of animals at all. But it's there on your fur products. you might think it's dead animals, but
they want to tell you something-their souls are still alive!!
